Stranger Things star is getting a spinoff comic book

Buy Now

Unique Stranger Things character Erica Sinclair is getting a spin-off comic book titled “Erica the Great”. This comic book also coming out in 2021.

Stranger Things is a great series that introduces us to well-written characters. Virtually every character in the series has a deep personality and feels just about real. Rather disappointingly, the series cannot tell us about all of the characters. Some characters do not get enough time for us to get to know them. Lucas’ sister Erica Sinclair is one of them with her loosey-goosey and unbothered personality. Fortunately, she’s getting a spinoff comic by Dark Horse Comics titled “Erica the Great.” We will get to know Erica better in this comic that’s completely focused on her.

What is Erica the Great about?

Here’s the synopsis exclusively revealed by SYFY:

“The storyline finds Hawkins, Indiana still plagued by more strange events. With the Starcourt Mall’s recent destruction, Erica has lost her favorite hangout spot and her sweet ‘free Ice cream for life’ deal at Scoops-Ahoy.”

Greg Pak and Danny Lore write the comic while Valeria Favoccia deals with the artwork. Letters are from Nate Piekos and colors are by Dan Jackson.

Here’s what the writer Greg Pak had to say about the comic:

“I love the way tie-in comics can open the door for tremendous supporting characters to become the star of the show. And Erica Sinclair is absolutely a star! It’s been a blast exploring her world with Danny and Valeria and company and I can’t wait ’til everyone gets to see how Erica the Great earns her name.”

Dark Horse Comics is going to release Erica the Great on November 23, 2021. You can pre-order it from Barnes, Amazon, Noble, or your local comic shop for $12.99.

What about Stranger Things season 4?

If you cannot wait to see more news about the new season of Stranger Things, we have kind of bad news for you. Gaten Matarazzo has revealed in a recent interview that there were very few reliable dates to announce. He said they did not progress so far with the production process.

Another star from Stranger Things, namely Finn Wolfhard, gave us release date rumors. The new season is “hopefully” coming in 2022.

He-Man and Battle Cat redesigned for Netflix’s remake

Buy Now

Mattel and Netflix revealed the new looks of He-Man and Battle Cat for the new series in both CGI and action figures.

Netflix is remaking He-Man and the Masters of the Universe in CGI. This is different than the one Kevin Smith is currently producing, Masters of the Universe: Revelation, though. Anyways, the new animated show of Netflix has just revealed how the characters are going to look in the movie. We have also learned how they’re going to look in action figures, an indispensable part of Masters of the Universe. While fans, in general, like the animated versions, they did not find the action figures as good. The level of detail seems insufficient for the new action figures.

He-Man and Battle Cat redesigned for Netflix's remake

Above is how He-Man and his loyal companion Battle Cat are going to look in Netflix’s new show. Many people liked the new look of those characters.

The action figures, though, were not welcomed as much. Fans did not find the action figures detailed enough in general. Check them out below. What are your thoughts about the new He-Man and Battle Cat?

He-Man and Battle Cat redesigned for Netflix's remake

Mattel Television is going to produce He-Man and the Masters of the Universe for Netflix. The executive producers are Adam Bonnett, Christopher Keenan, and Rob David. Bryan Q. Miller, on the other hand, is going to showrunner of the series. All of those names, having served for Justice League, Ninja Turtles, and more, are experienced in what they do.

When is the release date of Masters of the Universe on Netflix?

There is another He-Man series Netflix is currently producing and coming 2022. That one is titled Masters of the Universe: Revelation. It’s a sequel to the original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, rather than a remake. Kevin Smith is the showrunner of Revalation while Powerhouse Animation will work on the animation. Powerhouse previously worked for Castlevania and Blood of Zeus, so we expect a good production as the result.

What do we know about the Enola Holmes sequel?

Buy Now

Here is everything that we know about a highly possible Enola Holmes sequel, including cast, production status, and release window.

Enola Holmes is a Netflix original action-adventure movie released in 2020. It is based on Nancy Springer’s novel series, The Enola Holmes Mysteries. The story is obviously about Sherlock Holmes‘ brilliant sister Enola Holmes character teen years.

The movie was an instant success thanks to its amazing cast. Big names like Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill helped the movie reach immense popularity. Therefore, many fans are waiting for a sequel to Enola Holmes. There is probably going to be one. Let’s check out everything that we currently know about it.

Is there going to be an Enola Holmes sequel?

Netflix has not made an official announcement about the sequel yet. However, it does not mean that we’re not going to see one. That’s because Netflix usually breaks the big news after actually doing something.

On top of that, there are reports about the movie already starting to cast new members. This means we might not be that far from an official announcement.

They will not have problems with the story, as there are many more novels from the same series to adapt to TV.

When is the Enola Holmes sequel starting to film?

It is really hard to say anything about when the movie is going to start filming. Unfortunately, it does not seem soon. Even though Henry Cavill finished filming The Witcher season 2, which’s coming to Netflix this year, Millie Bobby Brown is still busy filming Stranger Things season 4. The filming of Stranger Things Season 4 is not going to end soon according to Gaten Matarazzo. This means we still have to wait for a long time for the Enola Holmes sequel to start filming.

They will probably start filming the Enola Holmes sequel after the star Millie Bobby Brown finishes working on the new season of Stranger Things.

Who are in the cast of the Enola Holmes sequel?

There is not any official announcement on the cast members, but we’ve encountered some reports about it. Stars Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill are strongly expected to be in the cast. On top of that, reports are holding that Henry Cavill will play more in the sequel than the original movie. Also, Millie Bobby Brown earlier reported that she would love to play in a sequel.

There will most probably be new additions to the cast. However, we don’t know anything about it yet. There is yet to be even any rumor about that. We’ll let you know should something new happens.

What is the release date of Enola Holmes 2?

Netflix is not likely at all to start filming by the end of this year, let alone releasing it. Assuming that filming will start by the end of this summer, we can guesstimate a possible release date of 2022. However, there is so little information to base our assumptions on right now. We’ll have to wait for Netflix to announce something official.

While waiting for the sequel, you can check out the trailer of the first movie below. You can also check out everything that we know about Millie Bobby Brown’s other movie, The Thing About Jellyfish.

Netflix cancels its comedy series ‘The Duchess’ after first season

Buy Now

Netflix has canceled its first show in 2021, which is The Duchess. There will not be a second season for it.

Despite coming up with many new series and movies, every month Netflix is also giving up on some of its content. That’s most probably because not enough people watch them. Therefore, the shows become impossible to sustain.

This time it’s a relatively new Netflix Originals comedy series. Unfortunately for The Duchess fans, Netflix is not going to release a second season for it. The series star Katherine Ryan made this known in her appearance on the podcast “Vicky Pattison: The Secret To”. In the episode she was in, Ryan revealed that Netflix did not want to make a second season for The Duchess. She also mentioned how many people watched it and how it was not enough for the popular streaming service.

Katherine Ryan says not enough people watched The Duchess

“[Netflix] didn’t want to make any more. Not enough people watched it. I think something like 10 million people watched it in 28 days, and that wasn’t enough.”

After revealing the cancellation, she talked about her thoughts about the situation:

“I feel like it’s a whole lot of work, a whole lot of time to make a sitcom. It’s really collaborative. And I was so grateful to be able to make it, but I think it speaks for itself. I kind of like the way it ended… I think it’s fine, for me, if it sits on the platform, almost like a film. I’m really chill with things. I don’t want to seem too happy about it, but I’m glad.”

You can currently watch The Duchess’ one and only season on Netflix. It has only six episodes for season 1.

What is the synopsis of The Duchess?

Here’s Netflix’s synopsis of The Duchess:

“Katherine’s a single mom juggling her career, her tween daughter, her relationship with her boyfriend. And pondering getting pregnant with her ex.”

You can watch the official trailer below.
